What I'd Tell First-Time AI Investors

What I'd Tell First-Time AI Investors

aitechnology

If you're investing in AI for the first time, here's my advice.

First, look for deployment, not just technology. A beautiful model means nothing if it can't ship.

Second, focus on execution speed. AI moves fast. Slow teams get left behind.

Third, evaluate the team's AI experience. Have they built before? Or is this their first AI project?

Fourth, think about your thesis. Are you investing in infrastructure? Applications? Or something else?

I've made mistakes investing in AI. I've learned from them. I don't make the same mistakes twice.

If you're new to AI investing, start with infrastructure. The foundation layers are proven. Applications are riskier.

I've backed teams that shipped fast. They had actual users. They had real revenue. The investment made sense.

Don't chase hype. Look for execution. That's where value lives.
